Teatro de sombras
Como hemos hablado en valores, vamos a preparar un teatro con sombras para el Festival de Navidad. En los vídeos que os voy a poner a continuación tenéis muchos ejemplos. Algunos son demasiado complicados y otros puede ser que no os gusten demasiado. Por eso, tenéis que ser vosotros los que penséis en cómo adaptar las diferentes ideas a nuestro Festival.

We've just finished unit 2 and our test will be on Monday. The most difficult part of the unit is the grammar: zero and first conditional. For that reason, I've looked for some resources that may help you.
The first thing I've found is a webpage where you can find a brief explanation and some examples. Click in the following links:

Review: Visigoths and Al-Ándalus
This morning we have been reviewing the first part of unit 1. To do so, we worked in groups and we created questions about Ages of History, Visigoths and Al-Ándalus.
As you know, we are going to use your questions to create a trivial and play the game in groups, so you should know the answers to all of them! Next to the photographs, you can read some of the questions so you can memorize them.
What is the difference between a city wall and an alcazaba?
An alcazaba is a fort for protection inside the city wall.
What are the main things inside Al-Ándalus legacy?
Architecture, maths, scholars and agriculture.
What is the capital of the Visigoths?
The capital of the Visigoths is Toledo.
When did the Visigothic kingdom exist?
The Visigothic kingdom existed from AD 456 until AD 711.
When did the Christian conquest of Granada happen?
In 1492.
When did the caliphate of Córdoba start?
The caliphate of Córdoba started in 929.
When did the battle of Guadalete happen?
The battle of Guadalete started in 711.
Is the zoco part of an Al-Ándalus city?
Yes, it is.
Which year did Al-Ándalus become independent?
Al-Ándalus became independent in 929.

Al-Ándalus
In Social Science we are studying the Middle Ages in the Iberian Peninsula. As you know, Muslims started ruling in 711 AD, after the battle of......... you should know it! If you don't know the name of this battle, you can watch the following video and review the schemes in your notebook:
Muslim's architecture is part of their legacy in our country. One of the best Islamic buildings in Spain is the Mosque of Córdoba. If you click on the following link, you can travel to this city in Andalucía and see the horseshoe arches that Muslims constructed in the 8th Century.
